Many of our plants are now sold out, but we are selling off the remainder at £1 a pot or £2 a tray of 6, particularly trailing and container plants. Please see the link at the bottom of this page or call us on 07930 443662 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for information on what we have left. There will also be honesty stalls selling the remaining plants in Park Road and at the bend in Blunham Road.
In normal times, the Moggerhanger Village Plant Sale is a major fundraising and social function for St John's Church, Moggerhanger. It involves many people from January onwards, growing seeds and plants for sale.
The actual event takes place over 2 days in a local garden, with Ploughman's Lunches and Afternoon Teas provided, as well as cakes, preserves and other items for sale. About 50 volunteers are involved, doing everything from leafleting the surrounding villages, to selling plants, to catering and car park duty.
How different things are in 2020! The Church building is closed (though we are having online services) and none of the normal events are taking place, so the Church, along with other charities in the village like the Sue Ryder home, has lost much of its income. To make matters worse, we have already bought seeds, pots and compost and have thousands of plants without homes to go to - see the picture opposite.
Subject to government guidelines, which may change at any time, we believe we can rescue something of the Plant Sale through this website. We can deliver the plants to you, but only in the villages of Moggerhanger, Willington, Cople and Blunham. Please note that we are unable to sell from our premises. This is how it will work:

Even if you do not wish to buy plants, St John's Church would be grateful for any donations that will help us carry on the work of the Church in the village.
